The Stahl Companies has unparalleled expertise in navigating regulatory agencies, interpreting code language, and implementing the requirements that are specific to healthcare construction. To benefit the industry, we develop opportunities to share that knowledge with our industry partners. We conduct training programs on topics such as: OSHPD processes and procedures, Licensing, Infection Control, Hazardous Material Mitigation, and more. These programs range from one-day briefings to five-day comprehensive programs. Stahl will work with you to educate your personnel on your specific needs, to position yourselves as providers of special services to the Healthcare Industry.
Examples of recent Stahl training sessions include:
The Stahl Companies facilitated a five-day training seminar over the course of one month with DPR Construction. This training was tailored to a company that was winning increasingly more California healthcare work. DPR felt it was necessary to provide specific training to their key personnel on the OSHPD process with an overall look at building within the healthcare industry. This program offered a variety of expert speakers sharing their direct work experiences with OSHPD, Licensing, Facilities Management, and Infection Control, among others. Through this course, DPR’s staff gained an increased knowledge and appreciation of the process of healthcare construction in California.
XL Construction approached Stahl to assist their company in better understanding the challenges OSHPD creates for healthcare construction projects. Stahl worked with XL to provide an eight-hour training session which would incorporate the regulatory compliance issues that had been the source of numerous challenges to XL on previous projects. To best suit XL’s need, Stahl’s training program focused on educating the company leadership about business risks and risk avoidance unique to California healthcare construction.
Managing Environment of Care
The Stahl Companies has developed special relationships with many companies that currently fill niche markets in the California healthcare construction industry. For example, infection control and disruption planning are paramount when it comes to the healthcare construction program and the various delivery models, yet many general contractors lack specific expertise in these areas. Stahl has both employees and relationships with specialty contractors with expert knowledge of “environment of care” issues as they relate to construction activities. As a result of these relationships, Stahl has hosted industry seminars to share our construction experience and application of “environment of care” practices to all types of healthcare work.
