Walter started The Stahl Companies, Inc. after serving 15 years with the State of California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development as the Chief Compliance Officer. His background is supported by a Masters Degree in Public Administration and a BA in Business Management. Important to his business are his credentials as a Licensed General Building Contractor as well as a Certified Class ‘A’ California Hospital Construction Inspector.
The Stahl Companies provides construction management services as well as project management and consulting services to the health care construction industry both acute care hospitals and long term care facilities. Walter has over thirty years of experience in operations management, project management, construction management, governmental affairs, and personnel development and training. He effectively establishes and maintains good working relationships with all of his clients. He is knowledgeable with the State and local level regulatory process.
Walter is experienced in development, analysis, and code adoption processes in both healthcare and healthcare construction. He is an active participant on various advisory boards and commissions. Most notably, he participates on the Building Standards Commission Health Advisory Committee on code adoption.
Walter is experienced with establishing and implementing training programs, team-building, developing training manuals, policies and procedures, as well as conducting and presenting at seminars and workshops. His work style is flexible, motivating, interactive, and results oriented with excellent communication and people skills.
