CALA is the California Assisted Living Association. From their website, “CALA was created by and for those interested in promoting and strengthening Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Continuing Care Retirement Communities in the state of California. In partnership with other advocacy groups, policymakers, and community leaders, CALA and its members have accomplished much to enhance the care and service that these models of care provide to California’s seniors.”
Stahl company President, Walt Stahl, recently attended Elevate: CALA’s Fall Conference & Trade Show. The purpose of this event was to provide education on the latest in workforce development, dementia care, technology, and more. CALA’s popularity is on the rise, with attendance at the conference seemingly at an all-time high. Networking opportunities at the event were in abundance, both socially and professionally, having opportunities over lunch and dinner to meet and discuss project–related business with our peers. The operative word in today’s CALA functions is ‘community’ those we serve and those we work in, both essential to one another.
