Stahl’s Pandemic Pets

August 18, 2021

We have an animal-loving group of people on our team, some of whom took advantage of working from home in 2020 to either add to their pet family or engage more with their existing pet family.

Amy – Abby the dog
Abby wasn’t adopted during the “pandemic”, but she sure loved having me home.  She acted like a sentry all day long, no matter where I went in the house or outside.  It was cute.

Alex – Brutus the dog
Brutus is now one year old, and this sweet boy has been through three surgeries in his first year for a life-threatening condition. But he is a survivor and is once again as happy as ever. He is a very humble and loving dog. He loves being around people and craves all the attention.
Brutus has learned to sit, give-a-paw, stop on command, and, his favorite, get in the truck to go out for a ride. English Bulldogs are very stubborn and if they decide that they don’t want to do what you ask, they won’t, even with all the training in the world.

Amanda – Duke the dog
We adopted our pandemic puppy 6 months ago when he was 5 months old. Although he was a baby, he was already a whopping 55 lbs. when we brought him home! He’s a healthy and growing boy who now weighs about 90 lbs. but struggles with an identity crisis – he thinks he weighs as much as a Chihuahua (his favorite thing is to jump on top of us while we’re asleep).
It’s been quite the struggle getting him comfortable with visitors because he’s more of a “scaredy-cat” than a “guard dog” but he’s learning and getting better by the day as we socialize him. Duke has made a wonderful addition to our family and continues to keep us laughing with his silly antics.
